When Mattel puts their best effort into designing a nice casting, they can do it. Very clean and simple look. Classic Hot Wheel look.

 

Great looking little Mazda pickup! The all around tampos are awesome and really give the truck a nice finished lood.

The REPU debuted in the 2017 Mainline HW Daredevils Segment. It was modeled by Jan Imai for Mattel after Mike "Mad" Whidett's dail driver called PITBULL. His 1974 MY Mazda REPU daily project, is a slammed, 15 x 10 VCE Rotiform rims, fitted with 205/50R15 Nitto Tire NT01 rubber,a rowdy 13b Bridgeport, IDA Webber, and a full stainless straight 3.5" exhaust, and 5" Supertrapps. There have been 11 issues made so far. Perhaps its small size allowed for the 4 sides of tampoprinting in lieu of Zamac.

I really like this one, one of my earliest pick ups from Boot Sale along with the Datsun 620 also in orange.

 

That is a fitting paint scheme. Pretty close to the 1:1 a friend of mine had.

 

4 10 147 250 DTX00 S05. Mazda REPU. The 2023, HW Hot Trucks issue. A generic racing livery. Would be good to see Rotary Power on the tail gate like the 1:1 but I am pretty happy with it as is.
