Was it just a K-Day release with it later to show up elsewhere, or are those of us where Kmart hasn't existed for a long time up the creek? If it is the latter, does anyone with a spare blue one need me to look for any Kroger exclusives for a trade?

Argh. I can understand the frustration when a vehicle doesn't make it to other countries, but that can sort of be understandable if it seems that the regular customers won't make it worthwhile in the other location. Exclusives by a manufacturer in your own country is just irritating though. :(

I could spare an orange one too if anyone missed it and wanted to trade for a blue.

The Datsun is one of those regional vehicles. In areas were the real Datsun was highly popular; CA and FL, they are hard to find. But in areas were American vehicles are highly popular; mid-west for instance, they are plentiful.

I have yet to see a single Datsun 620 locally, even at Kmart.
I live in Florida, but there is really no collector presence in my area.
Who knows where those little trucklets are hiding.
But I'll probably find one shortly after posting this. ;)

Found a BLUE Datsun 620 at Target this week. I thought this was a Kmart exclusive.

Target had plenty of the orange ones three months ago. Blue ones were plentiful at Kmart.

How did a BLUE Datsun get on the pegs at Target? Maybe this was a customer return. Or not.

It happens quite often.
People who work at the customer serive desk don't know anything about Hot Wheels, so every so often you'll see store exclusives at other stores.
That is also how you find 9 packs that have cars switched.
