According to the book, "Barris TV & Movie Cars",

"In 1996, the car made a reappearance: Playing Mantis released a 1/42 scale model of the ZZR in it's Johnny Lightning Series"

Could it have been part of the Magna series?

That's news to me. I've never seen it.

No, I've never seen it either. I've been collecting since 1996, and I have a bunch of the Magmas. I also can't find any mention of it in the Tomart's guide.
