Ever since I found my first ZEE toys 1/32 Silhouette I pay more attention to die cast cars at shows, flea markets, garage sales, etc...

This one is 1/24 scale and weighs a ton! The body is die cast, not plastic.

Does anyone know if it was released with regular sized wheels?

Here is the rest of my ZEE and Roxy Toys collection:

It is not my complete collection. I have a bunch of the race cars, especially Chaparrals also.

Those are pretty interesting, and some are kinda bizzare!
I have an Austin Mini that is very similar. Very well detailed and proportioned casting but with giant wheels. Different brand though. The brand is "Krazee Wheels".
Also have a Krazee Wheels brand car that is a Formula 1 racer with huge wheels. Excellent detail. It's a Matra F1.
Both are 1/64 though.

Sorta think maybe Krazee Wheels and ZEE Toys could be the same brand possibley.

I'm sorta thinking these might be a little bit on the harder to find end of things.
I don't ever remember seeing them as a kid, and mine, and yours are the only ones I've ever seen or heard of.

Sometime maybe you could take shots of you others Marty?

Anyone else have'em???

The orange one with the oversized wheels is a 1/24 scale die cast body. The green one with the regular wheels is 1/32 scale plastic body and chassis.

Nice linc!
I really liked the 1974 catalog.
Of course the cars in the later catalogs sorta sucked imo. :)

I also realy enjoyed the photobucket pics of your collection!

I have more pictures of other ZEE Toys in my photobucket album

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v521/mrtc4w/Silhouette/

I still have more around here, I just have to unearth them.

One of the more interesting ways to package the cras is the ZZEE'S Garage. You will see it in the album with a chrome chaparral in it.

Also there is a picture of a 1/43(?) scale die cast Silhoutte. It has molded in the bottom:

Made in Italy
Silhouette Mattel Inc 1967
Mebetoys
6616
Sputafuoco
Hot Wheels
Heisse Rader

Is this a hard car to get? What other cars did they make? I have heard of Mebetoys but never Sputafuco or Heisse Rader.

Great catalogs, especially 1979,thanks for sharing the links! I have seen many of the 3 inch castings but not these larger ones.
