I have a Mantis tiller that calls for a C1Q-K82 carburetor. I have a C1U-K54A carburetor in stock. The K54A looks like the other one, and will bolt up with the same fittings as the old one. What will be the difference between the two carbs?

I don't want to put the K54A on the tiller and have it running lean and burn the engine up. Is there any way to know anything about the carbs from the model numbers?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

The k54A is probably a superceded model of the c1q-k82. Set the carb up rich and lean it out just enough to run good.

The Zama site doesn't show a C1Q-K82 only goes to K79, however the C1Q and the C1U are both for engines 14-50 cc so it should be ok. Have a good one. Geo
