Funny, I was just thinking about the Sanford & Son truck a couple weeks ago. Sure, I would buy it. But it would have to look seriously beat! Oxidized red tone paint with a matte finish would be a must, nothing shiny. The thing about factory beat up vehicles is they usually look fake, and the rust always looks like cocoa powder.
So I'm thinking it might require some further roughing up post purchase for that authentic look.
As long as your Aunt Esther isn't around we can talk turkey about puttin' the truck up for sale.
As stated before, an authentic look is a must - nothing bright and shiny.
For a summer job, I worked on a paint crew at a big condo community. At lunch time, a group of us would head upstairs in the clubhouse and watch Fred & Lamont while we inhaled our sandwiches.
"This the BIG ONE! I'm comin' to see ya, Elizabeth!"
I did not get my first M2 till March and that was after talking with Sean and Dipstick at the Super Con and getting a up close and personnel look at them and I would definitely buy a Sanford and Son truck from M2 if they made one. I love their vehicles.
I would buy the truck for the model in both showroom and faded/used, PIP variations but almost never because of a TV show logo (I might go for some period gas stations such as Texaco or Sinclair however).
