I tend to buy black 1:1 cars most often and really like some yellow cars. I have stayed away from yellow in 1:1s because of the usual burn-your-eyeballs yellow of most cars. MY toy/model collection is a different story however and about 20% of my 1:64s are black and 10% are yellow. My 1:64 collection is just around 200 cars so the pictures included show almost the entire collecion of that color. Not included are the carded items that will never be released.

Anyone else collect certain colors either by design or by natural tendencies?

Good question, never really thought about it. I don't think i buy based on color, but if a car has a cool paint job, I'll buy it even if I don't collect 'em. I saw a nice purple 'Cuda at Dave's place during Jam, don't really collect that car but had to get that one, for example.

no favorites, the whole spectrum of colors is represented.I know alot of folks, including one whole diecast board, that avoid Yellow like the plague.
Personally, I like a Bright Yellow Car.
its red that I avoid. dont like red 1:1 vehicles.

That is my 1:1. Actually, the PT is mine too. I like burning eyeballs I guess.

As for diecast, I have a vast variety of colors. I would say most are black and of those, most of them have some sort of tampo on them.

Here's one I forgot about that hits both black and yellow!

That Dart is one of my favorite yellow cars. Has to stay at home

Trucks look great in BYEBs Yellow but picture a 2003 Sable in that color Not a pretty sight and probably the reason they never offered it in the Sable. :tongue:

I'm easy - I just get them all! I think the reds and blacks are more striking in 1:64 than other colors, but really, it's the casting that makes the car, IMO.

Is that #32 stocker from RCCA? Is that a '64 Galaxie? I have a few of the '63 stockers from RCCA...Wasn't sure if they had a series with '64's.

They are Racing Champions and 64s. The 32 car is a Tiny Lund, the 21 is Marvin Panch both of which I want to keep/ You are welcome to any one of the 26 Curtis Turner, 10 Buddy Baker or 57 Dick May. Just send your address and I'll get it out to you at the end of this week. :thumbsup:

That's a very kind offer, but I will graciously decline. I had another 'Homer Moment' : DOH! Realizing after your post that I have several of the Racing Champions '64 Fords. Don't remember which ones off hand but I know I have a few! (At least I remembered I have a few of the RCCA '63 Fords! )
