I am hoping that someone can tell me about the car in the photo. My father took it on Daytona Beach FL some time in the 60s. He left me all of his photos, but didn't put a caption on this print. Thanks for any help and understanding that this is my first forum experience..

I am so used to seeing diecasts with larger wheels - it is surprising to see how narrow the tires actually were!

Concerning the wheels, ran across an interesting find a few days ago - a car called the Cigar Box made by Aurora. Haven’t heard of the company before but it’s got thin wheels, unlike the other diecasts I’ve seen so far.

Looking forward to seeing your Aurora find. Cigar Box is a misnomer tribute to Matchbox. They started out making model kits and then slot cars before they dabbled in diecast - very fragile little cars!

The flags on the Blue Bird were a Union Jack and probably a flag of New Zealand ….sir Donald Malcom Campbell and his car were British…..LOL
