Chuck was on one of the late night shows once, and the host (Letterman? Leno?) brought up that he certainly lends a voice of authority to the NRA. Heston said in his Moses voice, "Who is on the Lord's side, let him come unto me."
I always despised what Michael Moore did to him, in the documentary about gun control, the aged actor suffering from dehmentia, and Moore blaming him for school shootings because he was the head of the NRA. Let's not forget that the right wing Heston, in the early 60', was a box office star, risked his career and his box ofice down south, by marching with Martin Luther King, I didn't agree with Mr. Heston on his politics, but I thought he deserved better than that, it was very lazy of Micheal Moore.
