Thanks Memo. The only reason why I even asked is that my nephew is looking to race with me this winter. But no job and keeping his head in the books for school he will have a hard time earning the money for it (of course I will help him when he needs it, but no hand outs). So I was hoping the venue still ran a 3Q and 1 Main. (4 run's + practice time + great atmosphere/people = a GREAT time)

I used to run at Washtenaw a few year's back, 5 or 6 years ago was my last time minus the charity event last summer. I had planned for it last winter but other obligations at work stopped me. Even after spending a good size chunk of cash preparing for it. And now Dan won't be there. But as long as he and his family are healthy and doing well. That is all that matter's.

Look for me in-
Stock SCT with an SC10 for sure.
I am not sure which other class I will run. I will probaly start off in Stock Truck.

Then try Slash Spec/Mod SCT or Open 1/10 4WD (I think the old XX4 is up to it). Or I will mix it up.

Either way, Thanks.

Hi Will
Glad your going to make this year. No Changes to the program, same have fun family enviroment. The mini class died off last year, Probably due to the high popularity of the Slash. The Short Course Truck is heating up for this season.

Checkout the discussion thread on RC Racing Extreme. The SCT class is shaping up as 1: Box Stock Traxxas Slash, 2: Open SCT, Any SCT Chassis & Body, 7.4v Batt, Any SCT Tires & Rims, 27 turn Brushed motor or 17.5 brushless, or RTR welded can motor, Any SCT hopup's designed for SCT.

there are 3 sct classes correct?
Box Stock Slash
Open SCT
Stock SCT

Heading over to RCRE to follow along.
Yes there are currently 3 SCT classes planned.
1 Spec Slash, 2 Stock SCT, 3 Open SCT.

If there are not enough Spec Slash's they will merge into the Stock SCT class.

First Race 11/14/2009 will determine that by # of Spec Slash entries.

Hope to see you there.

Washtenaw points Race #5

Even with a light turnout the racing was intense. Can't wait for the next one. Tom McKay's slash looked like it was on rails all day. Mr. West showed his boys how to drive in the novice class. Cory Smith was blistering fast in the Master's Truck A-Main. All in all a very fun day of racing. Then there's Memo; Memo retained the Team Whoop-Ass trophy after a gallant run in a borrowed truck, after he broke his truck in warm up for the Master A-Main. Uncle Bob offered Memo his truck to run with a battery that he had just ran. As other members of Team Whoop-Ass let out a sigh of relief thinking there was no way Memo would be a threat in an unknown truck, how wrong we were... It took Memo a couple of laps to get used to the truck and the race was on as he chased Sam, Bill, and I the entire race, getting way too close to his team mates for their comfort. I think if Memo would have had his own truck the Trophy wouldn't have been his to take home. Great run Memo!

Washtenaw points Race #6

It was another fun and exciting day of racing. Phil West made the jump from the novice class to join the rest of us old folks in the Master Truck and did a very good job of driving. Congrats to Terry Lund for winning the Slash 4-wheel drive truck in the raffle by Rider's Hobbies. I know everyone there would have liked to take that one home. Congrats to Cory Smith for another great win in the Masters Main. He has got all of us scrathing our heads thinking about how to catch him. Team Whoop-Ass had their share of broken parts and other mechanical problems but manged to qua. pretty well. Mr. Consisent (Bill Wood) was the fastest qualifer of the team drivers and never looked back in the Main, out running all his team members to finish 3rd. I finished 4th, and Sam 5th. Then there's Memo, who ended up taking the team trophy home after he thought he had Sam Sprang (aka The Chameleon) beat. Memo had slowed his pace after passing the orange and white truck that he thought was Sam, only to find out that Sam had pulled his famous body change trick in the Main. Memo suggested that the team adopt a new rule about the body changing as Sam snickered the whole time. Got to admit it was pretty funny. Memo, take comfort that your teammates know that the team trophy is in good and capable hands. And thanks again for for a Great place to race and have fun.
