I love these PD gems, but what about a Ford Vic??? or when was the last time they had the Vics in service??
Vermont still primarily uses the Victoria. There are also unmarked Impalas in White, green, and black. Those are detectives cars for the most part And are almost never used for stops (if ever)

They are testing the Charger and Caprice for their next police car. I don't even know how many of the Troops have one. I know that the barracks in town don't have one of either.

To be honest, I haven't seen a Charger in person, and I have only seen one Caprice.

The Caprice is just horrible looking, IMO.

You're right about Caprice, I would have these cars for Traffic only vs HWY patrol...I don't think they can match the power of a HEMI?.....

Lets clarify something about Vermont

I have only seen one trooper car ever. I was going 70 in a 50 on a back road. All he did was flash his light bar.

I did watch a rutland officer do a burnout with a charger. He was wearing ray bans and had a huge mustache. Possible it wasn't an officer but it was a marked car just screwing off in rutvegas

Hoorah!

Vermont State Police only have the State Trooper cars. They don't have "State Trooper" and "Highway Patrol" divisions.
I know, I served 20-years as one and our Division was called HWY1....in the city (Manhattan)....Upstate here where I live its State Troopers: Taconic,BRP, I-87, I-84,and PSPW.....Heck we even have a Mustang near Albany.....
