A good, but ultimately failed attempt to build a lighted USS Reliant from
ST: TWOK. I can't blame the modeller who rigged the lights, he did
a competent job. The spindly plastic pole on which the model was
(kinda still is) mounted, BROKE. It was embedded in the lower hole
via drill hole. The flourescent bulb came loose of where it was
epoxied and the electric cord got loose as well.

No fiber optics! The interior of the hull is sprayed with bright silver to
maximize reflectivity. Light comes through the drilled windows.

It still lights up, but the mounting is a loss.

The fate of this model is unknown, but I can't finish it.

Possibly...but I have no plans to continue. Leaving it off the stand lets
the kit fit into the original box. Eventually, it has to go.:(

If you really hate it now, fix it and give it to a little kid.
There is a little guy across the hall and he gets all my orphans...It really makes a kid's day.
