Greetings, all!

My cousin had a baby girl last August, so I built this ship for
her as a "welcome to the world" first-birthday present.

The kit was an AMT/ERTL "USS ENTERPRISE" (the one
some dislike as being inaccurate).

I installed six 5000 mcd blue L.E.D.s inside to illuminate various windows.

(1) in the Bridge dome
(1) in the Planetary Sensor dome
(1) in each Warp Nacelle
(2) in the Engineering Hull

One of the two L.E.D.s in the Engineering Hull faces forward. I
drilled holes in the Deflector array to let the light through. You can
see the light on the back of the Deflector Dish.

When lit, she is bright! I could read by the light emitted!

The decals were from JTGraphics, (of course!).

Schweet execution on that kit! I'm not one for lots of lights on a model (I'm lightingphobic, I think), but I think the lights in the nacelles look awesome.
