We will be using ROAR rules so Id keep a 2004 ROAR rule book handy
I see that a lot of your are viewing the thread but many of you arent posting. Since I know you all have questions, go ahead and post them and I will answer them as best as I can
C'mon guys! I need you oval bruthas to step up and represent! The oval at Hobbytown San Antonio is very fast. The owner said that 6 cell 19T gets around there is 7 SECONDS! There would be plenty of fast paced side by side racing action, so I wanna hear from ya'll!!!
Hey could one of the moderators for this section move this thread to the ROAR topic. We are planning on using ROAR rules although it wont be under ROARs official sanction
Dude! I know that there are some oval racers, at the very least in Texas. I heard that there were a lot of oval racers on this forum. This is a very fast track that we will be racing at. I dont know if Ive mentioned this hear but 6 cell 19T oval at that track does laps in about 7 seconds, so you get lots of fast paced action. I hope to have a flyer to post up here this weekend for yall as well as the link to the race website.
Do you have date set? Will there be 4 cell classes for 1/10 and 1/12 and what about Indy type cars, what rules will it be under, Norrca or Roar. What motors will be used in the 19t class, will you allow the 4 magnet motors, do you need a pesronall transponders and will the old style had out counters be available. What about bump ups, and is there power available and tables and chairs and canopies sence most will be coming from out of town and its impossible to get them on a plane? How that for starters.

Ok, Im going to answer those questions one at a time:

1. The tentative date is April 28-May 1 (I am awaiting word from Clark Baisdon for confirmation of it)
2. There will be 4 cell classes for 10th and 12th scale stock and modified, as well as a 19T class for 10th scale
3. There will not be a class (onroad or oval). I am hoping to have a class for them in the future
4. All Chameleon and C2 based 19T spec motors will be allowed.
5. Yes the 4 mag 19Ts will be allowed
6. There is not a plan for bump-ups to be used at this event
7. There will be power supplied for the racers. Mr. Baisdon told me that they are in the process of putting in power at the track this spring so it will be ready for the race next year.
8. There will be covered pit space, replete with canopies and chairs, for all the racers. This track is situated in a large shopping center and Mr. Baisdon gave me word that they will be able to block off sufficient space to allow for covered pits and parking for any team trailers that are brought in.

I hope that answers all your questions, Donn. If anyone has any further questions about this race, feel free to email me at [email protected]

Hey guys, It looks like Im gonna have to do something a little special to get you to sign onto my forum:

First oval racer to sign up and post on the US Pan Car Championships forum, gets a free entry into the race. I may also come up with a couple of other really nice promotions too (first to 100 posts, most authentic paint job, whatever else comes to mind). I am trying to get some big names to come out and race as well.
I know that Im not one of the big names out there in oval racing, but it would appear that I have been the first to ask some questions. I know that there are hundreds of pan car racers out there, I have been to the Snowbirds and other events and I have seen them. So it would be good to see you come in with your thoughts and comments, lets see if we can get some type of dialog going here about this event. Is there and interest for it or do you not care, it would be good to hear either side....
Hey I have a brand new forum for this race opened up. I will create a section for you oval guys. The forum can be found here:

Hey yall, I have opened up an oval section on the forums. I am lookin for yall to show out in force over there. I will come up with some really nice promotions for the oval racers that post over there
Hey guys, I talked to the owner of Hobbytown USA and we have
confirmed April 28-May 1 2005 as the date for the 1st Annual US Pan
Car Championships. Expect a new flyer to be out within the next week
Hey just thought Id let you know that race entries for the US Pan Car Championships will be opening up (Lord willing) after the Onroad Nationals in July. So dust off your 10L, EV10, SP10, or whatever Pro10 OR Pro12 chassis you may have and get ready for some doorbanging high speed action Texas style!
Hey guys, just thought Id let you know that entries for the US Pan Car Championships will open up July 31. If you need a copy of the flyer just send an email to [email protected]. I will email it to you so you can print out copies and get it to pan car racers at your track (10th and 12th scale)
Hey guys, only 4 days to go! Hope to see many of you entered in this race!
Entries are now open! Hope to see some of you in April!

As a side note, I do realize that this event is 9 months away and that this event is a little far for many of you. Im not expecting you to force yourself to go to an event if you know that it is too far or too expensive to go. This event is for those of you that wouldnt mind showing people that this class still can throw it down even as touring cars become more and more prevalent. I also want to show that there is still a decent following for this class. If you have any problem with making this race, then do not enter.
