Well, I tore apart my completed nacelles on my PL 1701A. I had them assembled, wired and filled but I didn't like how the nav lights were turning out. After masking, filling and general screwing around with, the nav lights simply weren't bright enough.

So I removed the LED's and the plastic "lens" - lathed down the LED to fit the hole and re-did both nacelles. Then, I did the same with the "headlights" at the front of the nacelles.

I figured out that if I put epoxy down and then slide the LED through it, it forms a nice lens on the outside of the part - looks really good and finished.

Lit one up and HOLY CRAP! Way brighter. Now I'm tempted to re-do the rest of the nav lights....
