What's up with Trinity's rear forward blue aluminum pivot support for the BK2? I bought one from the LHS a couple days ago and it doesn't even come close to fitting a BK2. It is supposed to replace the plastic one that sits in front of the transmission, as the rear one is already aluminum (kinda backwards, I believe). The holes for the suspension pins are about 3/32 too shallow, so you have to cut the suspension pins in order to install it.

Any ideas? Or are there products just becoming that low quality?

I have one of those for both my BK2 and MF2, and i'm not sure exactly why the holes are shorter. The first BK2 kits that came out were sent out with wrong rear inner hinge pins that were mistakenly a bit short(probably that 3/32 you're talking about), which led to many people breaking the plastic part(including myself!) when they got to running their cars. When trinity made the block, they must have make it from the specs of the first hinge pins that they saw on the car that's all i can think of.
