My kids got a new Hot Wheels track set for Christmas and we have had a few problems with the truns. I have gone as far as setting the track on a piece of plywood and screwing the turns onto the wood. I have checked the exits of the turns and fixed the straight pieces to keep it from binding/stopping the car. The turns are as smooth as I can get them (they are the four piece turn) and most of the cars will not make a full lap. I have a few track cars and I can get about 1 1/2 to 2 laps out of them before they stop on the track (right before the motor) or they jump off.

The track is a basic triangle with about 18"-24" between truns. So at most including the turns about 8' of track.

Has anybody else had this problem?
If so what was the fix.

I wish I could find my old H.W. track that had the premade turns and not this new build a turn stuff.

Thanks

Chris

Is this a hotwheels "Sizzler" set or a Hotwheel set with the power boosters? I know on some of the old vintage curves the wall on the bank wasnt high enought therefore causing the car to come flying off! If you are running the power boosters you might try spacing them a little bit closer together giving the car more speed to make it around the curve, Maybe post a pic of you setup... :)

In my opinion, your problems lie with either the batteries
or the cars that you are using. Not all cars are track cars.

As for you comments about pre-made curves, while us
older folk grew up with Hot Curves, the new 4-piece
curve system is better. Deeper channels, higher sidewalls
to keep the cars in the track.

This week, I will be doing a review of the track set that
believe that you are talking about. If I can remember, I
will post the video here as well.

If you want to keep tabs, my YouTube Channel is called RaceGrooves.

The cars that I use to test the track are the,
F1 Racer with the Gold paint and the track loop on the nose of the car. (track car)
Triumph TR6 Yellow paint with track loop on side of the fender. (Track Car)
24 Ours Red with Loop on side of car (Track Car)
Iridium oragne with loop in the casting on the bottom

I purchased some cars that were labled as track cars in the track stars set.

I have already put the track up form this weekend, so sorry no pics.
I will try new batteries next time out.

Thanks
Chris
