What is the "Run Line" of the track(s) that you race on?

Example: Freddie's has a 425 foot run line (one lap).

BernaI believe the new Orange Show Track in San Benardino Ca is about a 260 ft run line... Short track racing! Gotta love it!!! :thumbsup:

Ok, At all QSAC NCS events the GN A-main is 300 laps, Truck 200, Sportsman 150 and the Sprint "A" is 75 laps.
Let's see the difference in distance based on the information provided:

Freddie's = 425' per lap x 300 laps =127,500' (12.42 laps = 1 mile) 300 lap race / main is 24.14 miles (roughly).

Veterans Park Speedway = 350' per lap x 300 laps = 105,000 (15.08 laps = 1 mile) 300 lap race / main is 19.88 miles (roughly).

MPR = 325' per lap x 300 laps = 97,500' (16.24 laps = 1 mile) 300 lap race / main is 18.46 miles (roughly).

LPR = 310' per lap x 300 = 93,000' (17.03 laps = 1 mile) 300 lap race / main is 17.61 miles (roughly).

Orange Show = 260' per lap x 300 = 78,000' (20.30 laps = 1 mile) 300 lap race / main is 14.77 miles (roughly).

There is a quite a difference (overall miles) between some tracks..........Example - MPR's 18.46 (A-main only) miles vs Freddie's 24.14. That's about 6 miles difference in the A-main alone.

Do you think QSAC should adjust the race lengths by track size?

I think they're could be exceptions to the lap counts... I mean we did a 200 lap main for GN at the innagural race at OrangeShow and that was done in 23 minutes... with all the yellows and all... thats pretty quick... good racing too, the sportsman did 150 and it took them 26 minutes... Can it be up to the track for how many laps they do for the NCS races? or does it have to stick to the QSAC rule book? Just curious...

freddies may be 425 for you but for us pnut liners its 445 so maybe you and some others should run 155 laps while us mortals run 150 so we can sniff victory lane! lol

Our new track in Indy,(R/Car at Marion County Fairgrounds)the Big Paved Oval is just that...BIG!

We offer 40' wide lanes...and if you run the outside lane the track is right around 600'.

The Indianapolis area now offers a tight bull ring out at Ingalls...and the Big Paved Oval of R/Car's.

I think Boulder City RC Speedway is 530' racing line. 8 to 9 sec lap times.

Denny..have you forgotten how many laps you guys ran in GN at the Boulder NCS race and Scott many laps at Freddies NCS race..they were both shortened.. we let the track decide if its a time or weather related thing and we let the racers decide if its a reduced group in the A main.
