I always thought the Taildragger was a custom Ford or Mercury. I was told today it is a Plymouth. Which is true?

I have the 100% Hot Wheels version with real riders on it. That card calls it the '41 Ford Coupe. This is a very cool casting. I have about 12 versions of it in my collection.
