OK, I broke down and gave up and emailed Mac Ragan about the license plate on the Suburban

here is his response to me:

The license plate "5 BOYS" makes reference to the Chevy Suburban as a family
"people hauler." (five boys as in five kids)

I'm not sure why that extra half-space is between the "O" and the "Y." I
don't think the package designer intended it to be that way.

Make sense?

It does now but for a time there some people were getting nervous. lol

That casting has lots of potential. Vintage gas station, heck vintage worker anything. It would be cool to see another JL logo like they did on the past yellow truck. People can try and get all the JL trucks. much like all the numbers in Spoilers, all the PIP's etc.
I was thinking it meant they had 5 boys and that's why they needed a big vehicle. The space made it seem possible to be something else. :freak:

OK. I am glad you asked because it was bothering me. Not much put into that plate though if you ask me. Come on RC2, don't you have anyone there with a little imagination?
I'm just glad they are putting something on the plates!
I like it! Maybe they should do a state trooper tahoe and have it say K9 BITE
The actual plate on the back of the suburban is "JL4EVR" which is the metal plate that came with the '55 Panel, you would think they might would want to match them up ??? "5 Boys" just didn't sound quite right, or maybe it was just me.......

That kind of detail went out the window when RC2 bought the JL name so get use to in. :)

The "5 boys" plate sounds like something that Michael Devlin would like :(.

And here I thought 5 BOYS was either the name of a yakuza gang or a hillbilly jug band. :freak:
The license plate on my 65 Impala also says JL4evr
