Nice photos! Did you do both rides? and what did you have at Quarks? Beware of the warp core breach! The Tranya is nice.

Thanks for posting.

The first time I went, Quark's was closed for renovation. I rode the Klingon/TNG ride. The second time I was able to actually go into Quark's. I don't drink, but the Warp Core Breach was a sight to behold. I rode the Voyager/Borg ride this time. I would say I thought the Voyager/Borg one was better. I go to Vegas a couple times a year for bowling tournaments and I always try to get to the Experience if time permits. I have pics of the menu from Quark's that I can add to the album if anyone wants to see them also.

Am I correct in thinking the Enterprise Refit and NCC-1701-D are mock-ups built solely for the purpose of decorating the Vegas attraction and that they're not actual filming miniatures?

been there

been there too, I hear the bridge is slightly smaller than the filming set but it looks ok to me. Resturant was great and both were worth the price, sadly I hear it may be going away soon as the Hilton has been sold? or maybe just another rumor.................cant say for sure.

The overhead models are re-creations. The studio models of the Refit and 1701-D were much smaller. The 1701-D was only 4 feet long. The overhead is much bigger as you can see.

Nice pictures… got to go there again the next time in the US.

But… 1 ½ year since I was there and they still did not fix the Refits
lighting system… shame on them.

The wife and I went there last year (for the 3rd time) This time around we paid the extra money for the private tour. Our guide took us onto the D's bridge and said "Go ahead and hang out and do whatever guys----you have about 20 minutes 'til the next group comes through."

Since I've never seen the full size mock-up I don't have a clue as to sense of scale, but that bridge seemed full size to me. Picard's chair was very comfy too.:)

The original Trek ride is really starting to show it's age, but is still fun. The Borg 4-D is fantastic----I told my wife that I believe that's the future of home entertainment in about10---20 years.

Those ships hanging are wonderful---it's so hard to get good pics. :(

Oh, by the way---good Casino too. Won a couple hundred in there!

The Star Trek Experience in Vegas, is being shut down in a couple weeks (first of September, 2008). By shut down, I mean closed for good. I was there about a month ago. They said all the materials on loan from Paramount, had to be shipped back. The rest of it was supposed to be destroyed, according to some license agreement.

So if you wanted to see it, better make plans now.

crap. i was there in march and enjoyed the heck out of it, but knowing what you just reported, it did show a lot of signs of an attraction on its last legs. it simply wasnt making $ for them. the hallway to get into the rides was about 5 times longer than was needed. the big display area that lead up to that hall was about empty other than ourselves. its too bad but i dont blame the hilton. maybe if paramount hadnt have screwed the franchise it'd still be going but until the new movie comes out, star trek is yesterdays news.

folks youve only got a couple of weeks so get there if you can. it was a good time.

When have you been there?

I visited it in ’05 and the Refit was lacking her lighting as well, shame that they are not investing any money to get her fixed.

Oh and btw, I went to both rides and liked the VOY one better because of its “interactive” surprises ;)
