I am not into star trek at all, but I do like that polarlights nx-01 kit, is this space ship off of the original tv series?
The only star trek related model i have is spock with snakes amt.
How is the nx kit? Is the fit good and the detail is crisp?

Your help is much appreciated.

The Nx-01 is from the current Trek show, "Enterprise" showing Friday nights at 8pm on UPN.

The kit is extraordinary, with nice detail, and so far, the largest Trek kit ever produced. The model was made to be lit completely, there are already pre-drilled spaces for LEDs and such in the kit. Give it a try, I think it will convert you to a serious sci-fi modeler.

There is a model of the Enterprise from the movies 1-6 coming in January that will take the cake on size and awesomeness.

Gosh!!! I can't give you a definitive answer on that Randy, but to do one really nice would take many, many hours. I'd guess maybe all total so far, 30 hours?
