I've seen where some people that need a special carb adjustment tool, use a dremel to cut a slot in the head of the screw. To not have the flying pieces of metal in the cutting process, I've found that if you take a three inch piece of 1/4" wood dowel rod and center drill it with a 9/64" drill bit and gently tap it on the screws, it will form to the spines on the screw and enable you to make the needed adjustments. I put an ink mark on the dowel so I know how far I go on each adjustment. I've been using the same one for awhile, but no big deal to make another.
