So...flood...

Massive rain and power outage caused the bottom floor of our tri-level to flood. No sump pump meant rising water. No worries though, we had plenty of time to get stuff out of danger. However, because our insurance insisted on Servepro coming in and drying everything out, I had to take down a good portion of my M2 collection. I decided to repackage everything as new. Tedious let me tell you but I've become an expert on reboxing Auto-haulers, Auto-thentics and Drivers.

I'm glad you were able to get your things out of danger but still, I'm sorry you got flooded. That can definitely be a nightmare.
Sorry to hear about your troubles there Andy. It definitely makes me thankful I left when I did.
Heh, the guys from ServePro were impressed that I emptied out my display room for them. I said that I didn't want them touching my stuff. They were amused. I was dead serious. ;)

Working in an Apartment Complex where I know all of the residents I hear that a lot where people don't want our vendors in their apartments unless they are home or unless I am with them. It is all for the same reason that you just gave Andy. And I am the same way. When I have to have work done in the unit I do not allow anybody in there unless I am there and if I have to paint or something like that I take everything down.

I'm glad you were able to keep the Models from getting damaged.
Sorry to hear that buddy

WOW!?!, Sorry to hear that Andy?....I been living here in Mahopac NY for eight-years and me and my wife learn 3 out of the eight year of flooding and major damages we add two Sump Pumps and a Generator...since then I had no issues with flooding......
Thanks for the well wishes, guys. I do now have the mother of all generators and I'm thinking of getting a battery back up for the sump pump.

Meanwhile, insurance paid off and we're remodeling.
