I have an older T-maxx that I'm trying to get running. Should the slide carb go back to closed by itself? I had to replace the ball cup and when I opened the carb by hand it really didn't want to pull itself closed all the way. Now with the servo attached it still wants to hang up a little. Should it close by itself?

Without a servo attached to it, no it will not close on its own. However, if it has a return spring on it, yes it will. If it does not close with a servo connected, something is wrong. Dont run it. It wont stop. Are you saying it does close, but not all the way? Is the idle screw too far in? How does the motion feel when you slide it open and closed by hand? How old is it? Maybe a few drop of nitro fuel then slide it in and out several times? It could just be dry?
