Thats what I like about them, they so much resemble the early Lesneys I grew up with!
Some comparison pics....
Nice grouping of handsome economical Siku Brit & Euro sedans. The Lesney #45 Ford Corsair, #33 Ford Zephyr, the #38 Vaxual Victor, and even the #54 Fiat 1500 fit right in nicely into the mix, ...love this shot!!!

I can't find where you've told us what that green Siku 2dr. sedan to the right of the Corsair and to the left of the Vaxual wagon is.
I have no clue at all!

Wonderful comparison photos  The 2nd Taunus was the German skinned version of the Cortina Mark 1 rather than the Zephyr 6 but the Taunus on the left is very clearly related to the Corsair. The later issues of the same Siku caravan were made in the cream and orange of the Lesney SF57 trailer.

I haven't seen the orange and cream trailer but I do have the silver version.

I went back and added V-224 Auto Union DKW F 12, be sure to check it out...

V-237 Ford TSF Feuerloschfahrzeug '64-'71...

V-238 Fiat 40 CA bucket dozer '64-'72...

Cool DKW, really love the black fin-tail Mercedes.
And yeah, even the 4dr Benzs had fold down seats, I think just the passenger seat folded down though - I've had several Mercedes and they all did that.

That Toronado is a great casting, was it available through the years with different wheels?

Never knew the 4 door Benz's had the folding front seats, veddy interesting!!!

The Toronado did get bigger wheels in the later years. I started a thread on it in the general diecast forum a couple days ago and I'll also add them here when the number comes up. I have some more big Olds coming next.... stay tuned.

I found a very nice V229 Mercedes 230SL today and showed it to a 1970s-1980s high end Siku specialist who told me it was a custom because it didnt have spun rivits, it had the steel threaded hollow pin that is normally found on these mid 1960s Sikus.I had to laugh and told him he was wrong, these fittings are on many of my Sikus from the mid 1960s and most of them can from flea markets for pennies - I am just amazed how some collectors with little or no exposure to 1960s stuff can be fooled -is there no decent website showing these fitting so that collectors wont be fooled into thinking real toys have been drilled apart???
