am interested in learning how to build solid hulled ship models...i inherited one from my dad and dont know the first tthing about how to do it...its an expensive kit and i dont want to ruin it. and there doesnt seem to be any numbers in the directions on what steps to do first...any ideas how i should tackle this model... as a kid i did plastic models of ships....like the bismark and arizona... but this seems a bit more involved than those....like i said no numbers.....

The guy that can help you out would be Big Jake. He sails into the forum from time to time and knows his stuff.

Anybody else know anything on solid wood hull ship kits.

And welcome to the forum Pajamajoe.

Welcome to the boards @lissa

In @Pajamajoe 's case above would following standard ship building practices of starting with the keel and work your way up work be the best course of action to take without a specific order of assembly?
