So when is the racing going to start? Are you going to be racing on Sat.? Any idea as to what time of the day racing moght start? Is the track open for practice on any day other than Sat.? It's really hard for us that work until 12:00 on Sat. and have an hour drive to make it down for practice when you close at 3:00. So just looking for some other practice day or time........

Any restrictions on the type of tire compounds? What are the hours for practice this weekend? Do I have this right when I say, if I join the club for $45.00 I can come down and practice anytime the store is open? any day of the week or any hours?

What a bummer abouth the store and track being closed sunday. I had a group of about 12-15 people heading down sunday to get some practice in and check the place out. Guess I gotta send some "we can't go e-mails" :(

Hey Maxx,

What kind of Rc are you into? I see your profile says nitro monster trucks.

If I were new and starting on carpet, I would go oval all the way. Start with something good like a KSG. Don't start cheap and try to work up, you just end up spending way more money. If you need full details of what to look for drop me an e-mail.

At my local track we run 2wd trucks on an oval with jumps. It's a very fun class, if SCH would look at doing something like this until they get their dirt track up it would be a great option for someone like yourself. You could run a good truck like a T4 or a losi, then when the dirt track comes, you are all ready to head to the dirt.

They look fun, but I can tell, as a guy that has owned 6 of them at one time, they get old very quickly. The only thing I see they are good for is a good winter day, when there is no tracks open, you hit a basement and race with your buddies. But even that gets old after about 20 minutes.

But to each his own I guess. It's just not my cup of tea. And then I don't get these guys that spend $300.00 in parts for a $100.00 truck. I will never understand that one.

Maxx,
Yes, you can run 6 Cell (there is no 7 Cell) with no problem! (6-cell = 7.2volts) (5-cell = 6volts) Actually, 6-Cell is what most run anyway. During our September month of "de-bugging" of the carpet & electronics, we are grouping similar cars into one class. We want to start up a points series starting in October so there we will place cars in the particular "group", such as stock and modified. Mini-T's are really taking off and our store offers the largest supply in the area. If I were buying a Mini-T, I would get the 7-Cell battery with the Peak Charger (by TeamLosi). Stop in this weekend as we should have a good Mini-T class again, and probably larger than last week (because of the bad weather) We may even have a "night" race (turning down the lights) as we have several drivers with lights.

Thanks for chiming in! We need more interactivity among RC people such as yourself!
This is where you said I would get the 7-cell battery with the peak charger (by teamlosi). I can understand where other people can get confused, but you did say it.........
