This past weekend was the 1st Annual Pro-Line Gas Championships held at Thunder Alley in Beaumont, CA. The race format consisted of 2 10-minute qualifiers on Saturday and 1 10-minute qualifier on Sunday, then each driver’s 2 best points would seed them into the Semis. A 15-minute Semi would be ran to fill the A-Main. In the Pro 1/8 buggy class, Ryan Cavalieri won his Semi by 11 seconds as well as the fastest time and would start first on the grid. Team Orion teammate Cody King won his Semi by 9 seconds and would start 2nd for the 30-minute A-Main. At the start of the main, Cavalieri go off to a clean start. King was involved in a first lap crash and would be shuffled back to 6th position. Cavalieri would leave from start to finish, with Cody recovering to take 2nd place, with Travis Amezcua taking 3rd spot.
