SK motor/speedo rules

If I am not mistaken, despite the results of this poll, the decision was to stick with 17.5 Open speedo for this season. has this changed?

You are correct, the 17.5 open ESC package is unchanged for national events this year.

I beleive Eric added the option of blinky as a local preference for club racing.

Gene, I noticed at MINNREG almost no tire wire on my SK, and I was running pinks and purples, but I had changed the sauce I was running..

Not much of a chance of it becoming a habit, I'm already over my allowance!

Same for myself. I had changed sauce too. Made a real BIG mistake during Friday practice and did not realize it until 3rd round q's.

Plan is to be there unless an issue I'm minding gets sideways.

 

My tire wear was awesome at minreg. Of course if a run 10 horrible laps and break something the tire aint getting much wear. LOL!!!!

 

Boy you guys would be scared to come to r/c madness ct. where we running shorty 2 cell 17.5 SKs. open speedo. There a blast to DRIVE yes, I yelled drive and tough to set up but that's called a challenge. you know squeeze the throttle let off for the corners and repeat. What ever happened to trying to go faster? The way we see it is you wont ever need or care what motor you have, you wont really care how good the battery is. Yea you'll break some stuff but your doing that now going slow.

 

Sounds like a blast if that is what you like. Could you post a pic of the chassis. I would like to see how a two cell mounts in a SK?

 

2 Cell Shortys are almost the same size as regular 1 cells...just taller....

 

Drc chassis or like Bill said there just taller, tape them the same way.
