Nice to see the thread back up and some info and pics as well.
Definately looks like I might have to make the trek across to come check out the place.

Def will be worth it Chris. I think Chim told me him and the K&B gang were coming up in 2 weeks, so should be a really good turnout then, prob have several e-scales and 4x4s that week.

I'll be heading over to the track later today to take some new pics of the current layout, along with the oval and whatnot

Just got back from practiceing at the oval track, the oval held moister nicely. Ran the Slash and Slider on the oval. front streight was plenty smooth, turns are multi-groved for a flat track, back streight had a few ripples in it but not bad over all.

Anyone have any suggestions in the team associated rc8rs? It's the rtr version of the rc8. I drove johns rc8 and loved it. I doubt I can drive the car to its ability yet. But. Any words of advice? I've got like a $400-$450 budget.

the RC8rs is ok, but ultimately you will want to upgrade it, they've changed quite a few things on the RC8.2 since the RS. The engine that comes with the RS is a 28, but its kinda lousy, runs ok for a couple gallons, but after that its a crap shoot. The electronics are a little sub-par with weak servos, but the radio itself does just fine.

The only thing that is the same between the RS and 8.2 is the actualy drivetrain itself, the chassis plate, shocks, shocks towers, and arms are all different. the A-B-C-D plates are junk too, they wear out really fast and leave a lot of slop in the the suspension.

Just my experiences with the RS

For getting your feet wet its not completely terrible, but it will be lacking quite a bit once you come around more as a driver. Your only other option might be to try to find a nice used roller and finish it off with a new engine, servos, radio gear and whatnot

Just want to send out a happy birthday to my good homie, Kevin Brocki. The Dorks just finished a fine dinner date with him and his lovely Mrs. What birthday this is will remain a secret, however, his boyish good looks get better every year !
