Thanks. I owe a lot to this board and you crazy mofos. It's getting to the scary part now - grinding the seams, filling the cracks - praying I don't screw it up.
Then comes painting...a whole 'nuther can of worms.
I've decided to detail the clear parts of the nacelles - I should have done it before assembly but... Anyway, I'm planning to spray it with flat black, then wipe off the raised surfaces. After it dries a bit, I'll probably hit it with some 400 grit sandpaper just on the raised surfaces. I tried it on my "test" kit and it looks pretty good. If I screw it up, I'll be in trouble since those nacelles are really glued together good...
I'm trying to decide if I want to paint the deflector dish assembly before installing it - it looks like the fit will be good and it won't need any filling/sanding - what did you guys do with regard to this?
I'm also not looking forward to filling around the yellow thrusters on the primary hull - somehow I have to get filler in there and sand it without screwing up the tiny, clear parts. Yikes.
