I have four of these lying around for eventual custom work. So I got some inspiration from a friend who sent me a pic of his van that's in rough condition but with a very nice flame job. Hence this piece. I'm pretty happy with it. The flames were airbrushed with Tamiya paint using a mask. I hate using the airbrush but the results are always awesome. LMKWYT

Thanks

Looks great! I like the weathered look! I'm curious why you hate using the airbrush though, being new at it myself. I do like the results!

Bob, I hate the mess of cleaning and setting up mask etc, etc, etc... I'm just darn lazy but I love the results.

Gerry-
The flames came out awesome. Did you use a dry brush for the rusting effect? that came out very cool as well.

Hey John, I used extremely diluted artist oil paint. I applied it in a horizontal fashion with a line brush and then dragged it down with a large dry brush.
