This statment could not be more false. We check EVERY car after EVERY race. The car drives over to tech where Joe Martin takes it off the track, checks weight, roof height, and motor, i.e. if the motor has a 27t tag and if anything if out of the ordinary. If a cars motor is looks like its to fast during the race, like when Brad ran a fast lap of 3.49 sec, the the whole car is brought into the back room and the owner removes the motor from the car. Rick looks at the arm, can, and hood.jd267 said:
This teardown has been done many times, sadly 1 driver was caught, but beleave me if anyone beats Rick Martin he wants to catch someone cheating ESPECALLY Kenny or Me.
We don't check the timing of a motor. The reason is it doesn't matter the much. Yes it will give you a little more power but it wont make a car the gain a lap.
We tech cars because we want everyone to have an equal shot, NO unfair advanges.
Ok enough of that. The 17.5 can run with brushed motors for now. When the season starts then we will have a another class or as soon as 3 or more people show up.
