Will this work on Styrene Plastic models?

Silver Krylon Metallic Spray Paint | Hobby Lobby | 755801

Thank you in advance.
I want the Aluminum look to it without melting it .
Recommend any suggestions.?.?

It should, I see no reason why it shouldn't. I've used other Krylon spray colors on styrene and ABS and never had a problem. Mind, I was painting props and not a model kit but that shouldn't matter.

usual disclaimer: If any questions persist, consider buying a can and just testing it on some gluebomb kit you may have laying around. :)

I've had good luck with Krylon on plastics.

I always prime a model but not a rocket.

Follow the directions on repainting to avoid crinkling.

I believe recoat within 30 min or wait 24 hrs I believe.

It should as long as you use primer on the model first to put a barrier between the plastic and this metal paint.

Now can some one tell me EXACTLY what primer to use please.

I am doing an airplane kit & like I said before hand that I do not wish to screw it up:nerd:.

Home Depot , Hobby Lobby , Auto Zone, links etc......
Thank you again,

I have used many primers. Krylon, rustoleum, but mostly Tamiya grey or white.
All have worked fine.
