I was looking thru mine and noticed one that i have is dark red and on Wyatt's site it looks orange? Was it just the lighting in Wyatts pic? Here's Wyatt's and mine together. Anyone else have this one?Thanks Art

Both that you have pictured are the 1988 version of the LRW. I would say it is just the lighting that makes them appear different colors.

In the Showstoppers series there were two different releases of the LRW. Release 1 had the Original LRW:

Release 3 had the 1988 version of the LRW:



Both of these are distinctly different colors.

The one you have pictured that is a darker color looks like the one from the "kit" that had to be put together. It had the dark color of the "original", but the tampo's of the 1988 version.

Did you open it yourself? If not, look at the base and see if it has a screw in the bottom instead of a rivit.

I bought it loose but i just took a look at it and you're right it is the kit version.The color is a deep metallic red.Now it makes sense...thanks

Here are pics. of the Release 3 Showstopper [on the left] and the "kit" LRW [on the right].




On the boxes of my 1:24th Super Magma's, it say's the color of the original LRW is Cherry Red and the 1988 version is Flame Red.
