Randy ain't run 1/4 scale sprinters. But the Most fun ive had on dirt is 1/10 Electric Sprinter. Clay track with foams. Man handles like a dream and fast. Some day I will have a 1/4 gas Sprinter.

For a few years I ran the dirt with electric 1/10 sprinters too and a couple times with a 1/4 scale of a friend of mine . I think that's what got me hooked on 1/4 scale , it just took till 99 to dump all the smaller scales and just do 1/4 scale . Aint no going back .

Well ive decided to run this event cant wait sounds like its going to be fun  now i just need to build 2 cars.. get a hotel booked ,call Todd @ BRP .. find a sorce for some top and front wings, join QSAC and talk Lance Jones into comming to this race.lol

Fred Murry makes some nice top and front wings . His top wings maybe a little heavier than the foam and corrigated side board type but they are a sturdy piece and take a beating . Been using his since 2000 .

I painted my sprinter frame floresent orange this year with a white hood , tail tank and wing . I swear the thing glows in the dark . I shouldn't have any problems seeing it

I also want to take some time out to send my thanks out to all of you who put on the race this last weekend . It was great to see that many sprinters at the same track at the same time . Like Fred said , hopefully some of you will try the pavement with us sometime , nothing like positive traction and full out speed . Scott if it wasn't for you and Bob Fritz giving me some helpful hints on Friday I'd still be doing dounuts and adding pontoons to the car to stay out of the mini lakes in the infield . The car was coming around , but not as fast as it did until you and I had a talk and Bob stopped by . Again many thanks . Yes , it was was fun getting together with all the racers , some we've raced with before and the ones we met for the first time . Looking forward to racing with you all again . Tony and Dodie, thanks for the coffee and your help , Reese you kept me laughing . Just how big was that rack ? Anyways , a good time was had . Speaking of time , gotta go , survival time , WORK . Hate four letter words that go along with snow and rain . Gonna be a few hours spent in the garage this week to fix the carnage , frame was hurt very much bad , everything else is minor details . Talk with you all later,
Randy

It Lives

Hi guys , well the frame is repaired . I ended up clipping the frame from the radius rod mounts forward . Only thing salvageable frame wise was the right front shock mount . Also lost a servo saver on the left front , bent a steering link and radius rod on the right and broke a 1/4 " hiem . Nerf bars are junk . Udder fer that IT will live to see another day . Was hoping to have it ready for Cedar Rapids this weekend but I won't make it . Have alot of parts to clean and check out and put it all back together . For all of you that are going racing this weekend good luck and have a safe trip .
