In light of the recent merger between RC2 and PM, and the subsequent customer service issues that continue to show up on the board. I thought it would be a good idea for create one single thread for members to post their less than satisfactory experiences.

My purpose here is not to create a "Let’s jump on RC2 or Tom Lowe" thread. I would prefer to prepare a list of legitimate problems members have had in hopes this feedback will be well received by RC2 and possibly influence improvements. Personally, I would prefer to see things improve rather than relish in the fact there have been problems.

So, if I can respectfully ask of you, please keep your comments clean please.

Also note, I will move any new post on other threads regarding this subject here in order to keep everything on this one thread.

I am in the process of resolving some problems with my orders from PM/RC2. I had ordered some cars and (4) cases online. I was charged for the cars and the (4) cases, but I only received (4) cars in place of the (4) cases. This is a differance of about $100.00. I am still looking for the credit I was sopposed to receive. On a seperate order, I received the back ordered item and am still waiting for the items that were supposed to be shipped. I will be glad when this is resolved.

GOOD NEWS---RC2/PM HAS COME THROUGH. I HAVE RECEIVED ALL OF THE CREDITS FOR THE OVER CHARGES AND ALL OF MY ORDERED ITEMS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED IN GOOD CONDITION. MAYBE THERE IS STILL HOPE. TIME WILL TELL.

On the 20th my CC was charged $9.90, which would be the balance of a previous and obviously split order. Generally I consider a charge to my CC to be an indication that an item has finally been shipped. (in this case it would be fine if they didn't ship, and credited my CC, since I found the cars I had ordered at $4.95 each at the Warehouse Sale for a dollar each, and I simply picked up a pair there) However, the items I'm expecting have not yet arrived, which was never a problem before the changeover. I still can wait a bit longer, but how long does it really take to get a pair of fuzzy-seat Corvettes through the mail??

I consider this post, and this thread to be a place where folks can see and understand the reality of this changing of hands. It may take a while longer, but I think they'll come through. Perhaps if the right people were to view this thread...

I hope this isn't going to be a thread full of "I told you so" posts. I remain optimistic that things will be fine, eventually.

UPDATE

Well, in my case, optimism won through. Even though I found the same cars at the WS for a fraction of the Club Store listing, I did receive the balance of my order today, and nothing on my CC reflects any charges beyond what I originally had ordered. I may, however, wait before making any future orders until I see others have begun posting positive results regarding their own transactions. Good luck to all....

I sent back a PMD Cuda about three months ago, still waiting on the replacement. At this point I'm only out a little over $10,but it's the principal...
I think three months is plenty of time for them to get it together in customer service. So far I am less than impressed.

Here's the order confirmation # just in case it might do any good.

I ordered a Johnny Lightning Collector's Club renewal and the Shelby GT350H set online. The e-mail invoice came back with a null set (no items selected).

I again ordered the above items. My credit card was charged immediately. A few weeks later, I received a box containing the Collector's Club car only. No Club Card or Shelbys. The invoice said that all items shipped and that there was only one box.

I tried for weeks to contact Customer Service by e-mailing [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected]. I tried for weeks to call the 1-800-MANTIS8 number - no one ever answered.

In desperation, I finally called the non-toll-free number of Diecast Express. I was told that there were growing pains with the new customer service, and that they would get a message to the new customer service. That was more than three weeks ago. I have not received the rest of my order, and I received an e-mail yesterday from [email protected] that said that my (NULL SET) order was shipping.

I placed an order before the Fest, gave my CC #, and address. They claim not to have any of our information from Playing Mantis. (I guess it's a privacy issue)
Anyway,...ordered 2 GTO, and 1 more Hummer 10TH Anniversary. Lady took all my info again, and I get a call today from Idaho, where they fill the orders, and she said that I didn't pay, and that there was no CC # on file! Gave me this long distance #, and wanted me to call back with the CC info and address.

NOT! I'm not gonna call a long distance # when they should have had all the info. She called me at work, and I gave the #, and ...we'll see what happens.

Almost a month, and no status until today. They are probably gonna get worse before they get better.

Get this. I placed an order on-line for 10th Anniversary GTO & Gold Series Bel Air. I did this on 9-25. I received the complete order today 10-2. Took one week. And it has the Mishawaka return address on it too. I wonder if different parts of the country are getting shipments from different warehouses? So for me, no problems.

I received the credit for the duplicate club car but it was only for the $19.95 and did not include the shipping charges. I don't think that's right since they are the ones that screwed up and not me. Plus I had to pay to send it back.

I just recieved my 2 two slot cars. Kinda late for one thing since I could have picked them up at the fest. They charged me $22 for each whereas at the fest they were only $20. But here is the kicker. They came in a box with absolutely no packing material. They where bouncing around inside the box like the beans in a maraca. Both cases were broken open with body parts and wheels all over the place. The same was true for the 2 fest cars they sent a week earlier but they didn't come out of the box. I had to mention this.

That's really something! I got those Vettes a few days back, and they were wrapped in plastic bubble wrap, and the box was filled with peanuts as well. And a sturdy little box that I've never seen PM use before.
