so many of you talented people use a neutral color paint that has that bumpy texture..what is it and where do we get it..tia

Are you referring to a primer such as Mr. Surfacer?

Rustolium has some textured paints. I used a certain dark version for the PERFECT asphalt for a 1/25 scale car dio. Then I spray-painted a yellow line down the highway. very convincing.

I was thinking primer as well, but Mr. Surfacer goes on super smooth. Perhaps he's thinking of automotive primer that goes on much heavier.

How was it used? On what? Maybe that person will see this thread if you say where you saw it.

Also, Testors makes a spray can with texture, I saw it at the hobby shop just today. It comes in different colors, but has a VERY course texture though. I don't recall wall it's called.

I've also seen the Rustoleum "stone look" used in the bird-building statue heads from the matching Moebius Spiderman/Green Goblin kits. Looks just like poured concrete.
