Hey Jay,

That's a pretty broad question but we have a lot of information covering AirBrush use, compressors and paint in past posts right here on HobbyTalk Customs.
Everything from Medicine cups and empty film cans to mix your paints in, to compressor pressures, to paints and thinners, to ClearCoats.
I just put a post up the other day offering info to allow Customizers to try top notch Automotive ClearCoat for their Painted Customs.

"Who Would Like To Try Automotive ClearCoat"

and its related thread,
"Urethane Enamel ClearCoat, Catalyst, Reducer"

If you can be a little more specific I'll try and answer your questions.

What paints are you thinking of trying?
Manufacturer, type, etc.??

Look through these Tutorials and do a key word earch for other info,
"CadillacPat's Customizing Tutorials & Tips"

Just hook that sucker up and begin mixing and spraying.
I've learned what I know just by seeing what works and what doesn't.

I've got a great Primer formula in those Tutorials that will help you get started and most of my posts contain details of the painting process.

Remember, body prep is everything to a good paintjob.
