I know this is not JL - but does anyone have any 1/64th scale Konami Diecast - I hear they are very nice pieces but was curious what the Verdict was....

Konami? The same company that makes video games? Interesting....I've never seen any.
All I've seen is pictures on a certain other forum. They do look very nice.
Yep, the details seem to be amazing. They must be quite expensive though.

Here are some links/pics for the reference, old school japanese muscle: ;)

Mazda Savanna GT
Nissan Skyline GT-R
Toyota 2000GT
Toyota Celica
Wow! THose look very nice. I would sure like to see them up close. I don't think the hobby shops here carry them though.
there are some newer ones on ebay too - they seem to be along the same quality line as the Biante pieces (a new pursuit for Rob). I may end up buying some off Ebay just to check them out.

Anyone else seen them??
Those are extremely well done, at least as well as JL, actually a little better. I'll bet they are a little spendy too.
It looks nice, how the TOYOTA 2000GT's steering wheels looks like it was made of wood. I wonder how detailed the interiors are on these models.

THAT"S what I need.... more high end pieces to collect
Very cool! I love Japanese cars of these 70,80's era. These remind me of Tomicas of years past; one of my very favorite brands. Check out that Celica!!!!

What is the complete 411 on these?

1) Price

2) Content (plastic bases? metal? etc).

3) Aside from GreedBay, where else can we find these (websites, links etc)?

4) Country of orgin (yes, I know that the name sounds Japanese, but keep in mind many Tomicas are nowdays made in China).

Thanks for the thread Mark.

Our Local Big Kmart has them in the Diecast Isle. I can't remember the price but I think it was in the 2.99-4.99 range. Nice looking cars. the scale seems to be off a bit but they do look good.
