folks,
Here are my 1st pics of my E refit. I took about 4 months off due to aztec burnout, but now in anticipation of my eventual delivery of the MR TOS E ( soon I hope!) I've started her up again. Man! those astec's 'll kill ya!!!! I never want to go through that again. I hand stencild each aztec pattern out of Generations brand frisket paper (low tack). Some of the lines look a little rough in the pics, as the camera pics out every blemish! To the naked eye, they just don't show. maybe I'm going blind in my middle age, or maybe it's a pixel jag.(yeah, Right!) ...Anyway, here she is so far! any comments will be appreciated. this model will be unlit, as the MR model cost has blown my budget until at least 2030
oh well, here she is:

ok! here's some "progress" pics of the saucer. decaling is done, and i've actually kinda lit it. i'm using the method whereby i'm masking the inside of the model to allow light leakage thru the skin of the model to give the illusion of "spotlighting" ..seems to gi ve a realistic illusion. i'm satisfied. ...now, on to the dorsal!

Very nice detail work... I always love it when you can turn a disadvantage (light bleed) into a resource.
