"Octopus' Garden"

When I made these Turquoise/AquaMarine Decals it conjured up visions of underwater scenes, hence, Octopus' Garden.

Another '63 Impala from the Affinity Series a few years ago.
These little castings are dead on accurate.

I can't recall if Jada ever made any of the '62 - '64 style Impalas but they did release a real nice '60 that I'm adding to this Custom Chevy lineup.

Stripped, 45 minutes of meticulously thorough body prep and then primed.
To assure a nice bright Yellow the whole thing is first shot Shimrin White and then the Roof gets a coat of Bright Lemon Yellow.
Roof is lightly InterCoat Cleared, taped and then the body is again shot Shimrin White to cover up any overspray.

Decals are laid down and Front and Rear Windshield trim is freehanded.
Headlights are detailed,
Center Caps bring out the Bling and cover up bare open end axles.

Factory issued Tan interior is just right.

Cleared with HOK Urethane Enamel Clear and a bit of Brilliant Gold Pearl Additive.

All Products Used Are Exclusively House Of Kolor, Of Course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Decals created on Clear InkJet Decal paper from Papilio.com

Stay Tuned for some '64 Impalas and more '66 Novas.
