First the real thing! My 1966 Galaxie 500 XL! :)

The "Quiet Man" series, a little corny but it got the idea across.

Thanks for sharing and that's a sweeeeet 1:1  The 7 Litre would have been quite a ride, but the 390 is no slouch either :p

The 7-litre is quite a ride. I remember not having enough wheel well area to put much meat in there. I had mine in 79-80. Mash the gas pedal and you could smoke the rear tires a city block. Mine was an auto and it would smoke em all the way to drive. MAN, what memories.
Thanks for the ads Galaxieman.

That is a request I am always happy to respond to ;)

Here it is at a Ford only show in New Jersey last year.

At a show at a defunct dragstrip also last year. The 62 next to it I also bought new and sold to a friend when I bought the 66

Springtime shot

and one of my favorites. Getting ready for a 400 mile roundtrip in the early morning fog 2 years ago. Modified to sepiatone.

Great ads and pics, the 66/67 body style is my favorite of the full size Fords & Mercurys.
