Thought some people may be interested in these. Saw these at Wallys. Picked up the yellow 98-02 Trans Am. There were two Samba Buses (red/yellow), two 69 Camaros (white/red), two Cobra Shelbys (white/blue), Karman Gia (grey), newer Viper (red), some others. These are extremelly well detailed. I'm totally impressed. Small tri-window black box. Front & both sides. About $1.60.

Here is the white Shelby.

Thanks T/ATom for the information.
And an AC Cobra in 1/87 scale too!
I will definitely have to get both the white and blue versions.
The whole set sounds good.

The smallest scale that I have collected so far is 1/72.
And those are Yat Ming Road Signature, Real-X, and Hongwell Cararama.
1/87 is really small.
Do you know who the actual diecast manufacturer is?

On the back of the box it states "Manufactured by High Speed."

Thank-you

Thank-you for the fast response.
That would explain the apparent fine detail in the casting that I viewed in the e-pay posting by T/ATom.
Now, just to find them.
At 1/87 scale, the castings sure are going to be small.
Can you imagine what an Austin Mini would look like in this scale.

These are very very nice. There were two boxes, two layers, 24 cars per box.

Any idea on which other cars are in the series? Does anyone remember the Monogram 1/87 "Signature" Series of the early '90s? I have a nice Grand National from that set.

Yup. I have 2 multi-packs of those. Kinda neat even though I'm not really into that scale.

There is also a 55 Chevy. They have a wing nut under the plastic cube holding the car in place. These are just super impressive for the scale.

The Trans Am even freakin has little clear lenses for the fog lights in the front. I found out by using my 10X magnifier.

Hey Tom, I'm not sure if you know about the Model Power Firebirds, but I picked them up last year around Christmas time.
These new models at Wal-Mart look exactly the same.
This pic was borrowed from that auction site
:

They came out with Black and Yellow. Exactly as this new series has.
I'd say these are Model Power cars at a cheaper price, but manufacturer has me puzzled.
Here is Model Power's list of cars:

the Mailbu castings seem to be Model Power castings also. I have seen the Firebird and Karmann Ghia in both company packaging and the casting are exact
