The inclusion of the 300ZX strikes me odd. The '65 Corvette is also more attractive than the '63, I believe. The 63 is lacking a purity of form.

Also, they're in alphabetical order, silly.

I get the biggest kick out of elitist "snob" publications like this that are so full of themselves. Every so many years, one will do some sort of "list" like this, and they always give just a couple of spots to American cars, and always the same ones. So predictable.

Most beautiful cars? How can you NOT pick the revolutionary styling of the 1968 Dodge Charger ???? No one had seen anything like that car, it was bold, innovative, and yes, beautiful. Same could be said for the first Mustang convertibles and fastbacks.

That's the beauty of lists - they encourage debate. I'm sure i could make a list of 25, using none of those, that would get the same amount of support that this one did.

Hemmings did a list of the most beautiful American cars, and the Charger was nowhere to be seen. I don't know where you're coming from with this. It's predictable only in that these cars have been around for a long time and theres generally a consensus about them being gorgeous.

Just because a list is full of Ferraris and Jaguars doesn't make it elitist. These things are subjective, and everyones entitled to their own opinion. There have been an awful lot of cars built over the last hundred years, and taking it down to only a handful is a difficult thing.

there is a couple that would have made my personal list for sure , but a 79 XJ6 ? seriously ? I don't even think this should be on a top 200 , besides the ford contour with jag badges that is out now , I would put this on the bottom of the list even in an all jag list .

beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess , other than that some nice cars on there

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I guess that is the best explanation for some of the more glaring omissions from that list.

I think the 300ZX is a beautiful car and with a few modifications to the turbos can easily generate over 500 H.P.
Despite the votes for the Charger I don't find it a particuly beautiful car. For American muscle I would have included the 70 Mach I and the 70 442 Oldmobile.

Dude, late model corvair has to be on there, although I may be a little biased :), it was car & drivers (or one of those mags) most beautiful car for 1965.
Its definitely better looking than a freakin 300ZX.
