Now presenting my latest custom projects....caution, extreme detail

Ok guys, I've talked with a few of you guys and told some of you about my current projects that I've been working on......well, I've just completed a few of them.......in particular my JL Custom Mustang.

The Mustang was graciously donated....along with a few other of those JL model kits from Mike aka StreetFreak (a big thumbs up bro  ) to be used as custom fodder......

So here it is.....my Custom Mustang.......including skinnie's up front, fatties in the rear(narrowed chassis), REAL aluminum wheel tubs,REAL aluminum interior metal work (backseat removed, and tin work done just as in a REAL ProStreet car). The car also features a REAL metal rollcage, two stage nitrous system, metal shift stick,MSD ignition box, spark plug wires, hand fabricated 2 piece metal distributer that's fully wired),throttle cable with 3 piece throttle plate, and throttle return spring (hand fabbed), braided radiator hose, dual feed fuel line....with a braided fuel line ran to the duel feed line.....and best of all, since I'm a Chevy man, I just had to put a decent power plant in the car......so it's sporting a Big Block chevy motor...with a blower and bugcatcher.... :jest:

As you can see.....there is a HUGE amount of time spent on this car........I can't even count the amount of hours....or sometimes frustrations that have gone into this project....but I tell you know....the pics don't do the car justice.

There are several pics that I'll upload...so sit tight.....

Anyhow guys.....enjoy the pics of the Stang....and a few other projects. Brian

THANKS for the kind words Bill......It's a heck of alot of work......and kinda frustrating at times...but now that I've got a few of the kinks worked out....I'm sure I could crank out some more cars like this.....

To be honest man, I simply don't have the funds to go  I'm pretty tapped for cash right now......so there's no way I could make the Fest.

THANKS to everyone for the comments......it's nice to get a little feedback after all of the hard work that I put into the Stang.....

HAHAH, thanks Mike........I hope I did your donated Mustang proud :jest:
Wow - I build 1/25 scale models. I am amazed how some people can detail in such small scale.

Incredible

Phil, that's where I honed my skills man.......it's been since the mid 90's since I last built a fully detailed 1/25th scale kit.........but I wanted to try my hand at working in 1/64 in great detail....and man, there were sometimes that I had a hard time even seeing the work....and days that my hands would hurt....LOL.......

Just grab a JL, snag a Dremel, and get to work man........it's hell fun!!!!! :D
Nice work on the Nomad. I did something like that on the 56 Nomad from rel 3 of the Tri-Chevy's.
Did you rework the front bumper on the 55?
Wow, so that's the one you were telling me about in the chat room? Holy Smokes!!

Nope, no rework on the bumper dude.... I merely opened the car up, had to grind some on the chassis and interior tub and inner fenderwells to fit the larger wheels in the rear, tossed the hood, added the motor (which I ground and drilled the tops of the carbs for realism) and then painted the center of the wheels to resemble Torque Thurst D wheels........then reassembly......REAL simple swap....but looks really sweet.

Well, is anyone else planning on carrying some custom cars? I could have sworn I read a post a couple weeks back that mentioned that someone was offerring to carry people's cars to the contest ...that weren't going on thier own.

I could ship the car to this person........ Of course it'd better show up at the Fest....LOL, and not in someone's collection..... :jest:
