I went to Wallys Sat. night to pick up something and hit the diecast aisle. Not much of anything on the pegs. After checking out the other brands, a man and a women both walk up to the HW pegs with open boxes full of HW's, and start filling the pegs. I'm standing behind watching, looking to see what's going up (figured they already went through the boxes based on how the cars were messed up). They're asking each other if they got this one for their kid yet, yeah I got one last week, have you seen this one, and so on. "Are there any more in the back" one asks the other? I didn't hear the answer.
Anyway, nothing new that interest me, and one Mystery car (already split open).
Turns out they are employees. Not one employee in the store had the blue WM outfit on that night. Great! No wonder I have only found one TH (actually hidden behind a toaster in the small appliance aisle, the LaTroca). Probably the same reason another clerk told me I wouldn't find a TH as I browsed through freshly stocked pegs two years ago. It also takes quite some time to find anything that's new here.
If it wasn't for the fact they are only 5 minutes from me and we do a lot of shopping there, I'd never set foot in the place.
Thanks for letting me vent.
