TRU has just received their latest batch of JL two packs. Seen in this release are Universal Monsters, Poker R2, Mopar Muscle, Muscle Cars V R9, Sixties Sizzle R2 and Street Freaks R18.

Was wondering if I would ever find the Black with Flames Camaro....

Was at TRU myself this evening. Nothing really new on the pegs other than some reshuffling. Was about to leave when the new two packs caught my eye. The red 69 Impala top up and the black and silver Nova in one pack. I'm a sucker for the Impala so just couldnt leave it no matter what the other car was. And also got a pair of 05 Holiday Classics. The killer green 65 shortbed chevy and the 48 tucker. Just had to have the 65! My wilfe SAID she understood.

TRU in Canada doesn't even sell Johnny Lightnings.
So the two-packs are out of the question.
Still waiting to see JLs show up on the pegs on a regular basis.
One box of 12 castings per month or when-ever at WM just doesn't cut it.
If you are not in the store when they have been just put out, you are SOL.
You sure can't buy JLs locally if you can't find them.
A very sad state of affairs IMHO.

Yep! And if you don't have a TRU within 50 miles, you are truly "done in".
You have to wonder what the heck is going on anyway.
Have a nice day!

I have a TRU, a WM, a KB, and a Target all just 1 mile from my house, that's cool. But there's so many people and collectors that live around here that the decent JLs are always picked clean by the time I get there. :(
Glad we have OLDs for the regular stuff at least.

I had a handful of two-fers, at TRU today.
The Checkers were so incredibly stupid and slow, that I left them there in disgust.........(3rd in both lines)
....all I can think was,if they're that slow now,...boy, wont Christmas shopping be fun

famous quotes;

"we're all screwed now" - Carnut2256

"the other line is always faster" - murphies law
(unless it's a TRU,then the adverb,"faster" is discarded)

Even the OLDs get picked clean of some newly released castings in minutes
or hours.
So sometimes, the ones that you REALLY want aren't available from any source.
The simple law of "supply and demand".
I wish I had a TRU, a WM, a KB, and a Target all within five miles of my home.
Even with lots of other collectors out there looking for those same castings,
there may be a chance once in awhile of actually finding any newer JLs.
No easy answer.

I didn't have to be to work until 3 today, but I didn't even bother going to a TRU for these....... they would have been picked clean by 10:05 this morning.

On vacation right now. Wife and I experienced the same phenomenon.
The only difference was that the store was Walmart.
Only two clerks and line-ups of about 30 people each line.
Talk about slow. Continuous price checks, etc.
After waiting in line for about 10 minutes, we just left our stuff and left.
And weren't the only persons who just left stuff and walked out. Sad.
Good thing that they weren't JLs that I left behind.
But then again, if you can't find them, you can't buy them.

I've done this more than several times at WM too, even with JLs. Sometimes I just can't tolerate the fact that WM only has a couple of cashiers working, with long lines waiting to get cashed out. And they have all those other cash registers unmanned. Just too darn cheap to hire another cashier or two. Well, they've lost a lot of my cash.
