up here where i race they are pretty close to the monster... maybe a second or 2 off.. once u get the gearing right they are fast... at our big track they are a little slower... at our two smaller tracks, if u dont run one u are off the pace... it is odd to cause i would think a motor with more rpms would work better on a bigger track.. but it actually seems to be the opposite.....
up here in sedan and oval it seems like more have gone to the 4 magnet... out loacl motor company coulndt keep them in the showcase.... they sold like 100 motors in the first few days it was out... it is all progression... we always find ways to be faster.. look at when the monster came out... people used to say ohh it isnt as fast as my green 3 .... but when we got them figured out u couldnt pry a monster out of the hands of them...
 Umm.. Burbs... I think you might be a little confused here.
Remember last week at Trackside ?? I believe the front row was binary stocks ( i know this because my car was one and I know whose the other car was)! And I personally have run my fastest runs ever with the binary stock. I absolutely love it. They don't fall off -- I can start the race with 5.0 laps and finish with 5.2's. ; and they have some smoke down our long straights !
Your car has to be REAL free, and yes the gearing is important, but its not as picky as some think.
I have run them now on tracks from 106' to 206' and they are great on both.
